Join Cornwall Council at Taking Charge Together
Our event is in Partnership with Cornwall Council, make sure not to miss out on chatting to them on the day at their stand.
Cornwall Council is working to ensure the charging infrastructure is in place for residents to switch to electric vehicles. The council installed 226 new charging points in 2023 through our Drive EV2 project. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Council’s Carbon Neutral Fund, the charging points were installed in Cornwall Council car parks in 42 locations. Central Government figures show that Cornwall is in the top 20% of local authority regions in terms of total number of EV devices installed. Cornwall Council has successfully bid for £5.5m from the Department for Transport’s Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund to bring thousands of new charge points to more areas.
