Dundee City Council reduces EV charging tariffs across Evolt Network
From 1 September 2026, EV drivers using Dundee City Council charge points on the Evolt Network will benefit from lower charging tariffs, helping make public EV charging more affordable for residents, businesses and visitors.
The revised tariffs are:
- AC charging: 55p per kWh (previously 57p per kWh)
- Rapid charging: 67p per kWh (previously 69p per kWh)
- Ultra-rapid charging: 69p per kWh (unchanged)
The revised pricing reflects a reduction in energy costs, with Dundee City Council and Evolt passing these savings directly on to EV drivers.
Alongside the new tariffs, maximum stay limits will increase to 12 hours at selected charging locations, giving drivers greater flexibility when using longer-stay AC charging facilities.
The new 12-hour maximum stay will apply at:
- Alexander Street
- Balmerino Road
- Camperdown Country Park
- Coldside Nursery
- Craigowan Road
- Dawson Park
- Deveron Terrace
Drivers should continue to check the information displayed at individual charging locations for applicable maximum stay and overstay rules.
As one of Scotland’s leading destinations for electric mobility, Dundee City Council and Evolt continue to invest in accessible and reliable public charging infrastructure, making it easier for more people to make the switch to electric.
