1. Minehead, Somerset 

Why visit: The official starting point of the 630-mile Southwest Coast Path, Minehead is a classic British seaside town nestled on the edge of Exmoor National Park. Take a stroll along the promenade, explore the historic harbour, or enjoy fish and chips with a sea view.

2. Porlock Weir, Somerset 

Why visit: This tiny harbour village is full of charm, with its thatched cottages, quiet coastal paths, and centuries of maritime history. Surrounded by ancient woodland and salt marsh, it’s a perfect stop for nature lovers and walkers alike.

3. Hartland Quay, Devon 

Why visit: With its wild Atlantic cliffs, jagged rock formations, and crashing waves, Hartland Quay offers some of the most dramatic scenery on the entire coast. It’s remote, raw, and utterly captivating—a perfect place to disconnect.

4. Padstow, Cornwall 

Why visit: A vibrant harbour town famous for its lobster hatchery, cute cinema and seafood. Padstow blends natural beauty with culinary excellence. Explore the Camel Estuary by bike or boat, then refuel with world-class cuisine.

5. Holywell Bay, Cornwall 

Why visit: Backed by dunes and overlooked by the twin Gull Rocks, Holywell Bay is one of Cornwall’s most photogenic beaches. It’s also a filming favourite—recently featured in Poldark. Perfect for bodyboarding or a scenic coastal walk. 

Nearest charger: Four sites in the Newquay area, heading North to Holywell, there’s also access to Evolt Network chargers in Perranporth too. 

6. Newquay, Cornwall 

Why visit: The UK’s surf capital is more than just waves—Newquay offers sandy beaches, lively cafés, a thriving coastal community, and plenty of family-friendly fun. Ideal as a base for exploring mid-Cornwall.
